Our Process
We spend time with you to make sure we have a clear
understanding of your open position. We familiarize
ourselves with your company, its strategy, problems,
culture and people and the characteristics and skills
the successful candidate should possess. We work
with you to create position specifications for the
role and the ideal candidate.
We then do industry research to develop target lists
of prospects. Before a prospect becomes a candidate
we perform an in depth analysis of their accomplishments,
work ethic, leadership/team philosophy and personal
and professional ambitions. We then evaluate them against
the position specifications and the profile of the
ideal candidate. Candidates who most closely fit the
client’s requirements and have an interest in
the opportunity are presented to the client who will
further determine the candidate’s qualifications
and cultural fit within their organization.
We will conduct detailed formal interviews of the
candidate’s references to confirm his/her suitability
for the role and to identify any areas of concern or
points that require clarification or additional scrutiny.
We then work closely with the client and candidate
as they move towards the offer stage to facilitate
negotiations between candidate and client. We are also
available to support the newcomer’s successful
integration into the client team.

We also recognize that confidentiality is crucial
to candidates as well. Many of the people recommended
by Halcyon are currently employed. Client companies
must respect this fact and work to minimize exposure
of candidates throughout the search process. This means
that no candidate names or presentation material should
be shared with anyone other than those individuals
directly involved in the search effort.
